KBTC/KCKA 28,15 Tacoma/Centralia, WA http://www.kbtc.org is airing 4 episodes of Who this weekend (last 4 of The Mutants) to complete their current story before their rights to the series expire. KBTC has provided Doctor Who to the Seattle area since 1987, one of the last 7 over the air US broadcasters to keep the show on the air. December 18th will be the final broadcast, as BBC Worldwide Americas has non-renewed KBTC's contract. That leaves 6 stations airing the show on the old syndication contracts going into January 2005. No US buyers for new or old series rights have been announced at this time.
BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca and UKTV Gold http://www.ukgold.tv are both replacing Doctor Who with special programming over Christmas and New Years. Monday 20 December through Sunday January 2 on BBC Kids, Saturday 18 December through Sunday January 2 on UKTV Gold. BBC Kids' advance schedules indicate that the Saturday and Sunday complete story broadcasts are ending for a while for weekend marathons of other programs.
Maryland Public TV http://www.mpt.org had some recent glitches airing Doctor Who stories. On November 27 the movie of Inferno had no sound for the first 54 minutes (at least on the WMPT 22 transmitter) and a scene appearing out of order about 80 minutes in. The December 11 showing of The Mind of Evil aired about 25 minutes late due to a pledge special running long. Pledge season is over, so there shouldn't be any more late starts.
Future airings of Doctor Who (1996 TV Movie) on the Starz!
